The Adult Mass Choir
A Music Ministry that is Constantly Dying so that God’s People May See Him
Scripture:
Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Psalms 100:1 – 3
Mission Statement:
The Adult Mass Choir is a Ministry that is dedicated to Ministering the Word of God through Song. Our purpose is to touch the souls of believers and non-believers. Through song, we bring souls to Christ by way of encouragement, passion and the hope of salvation.
Servant Leaders:
Deacon Sandra Nelson, Coordinator and Sister Margaret Shelton, Treasurer
What We Do:
Sunday Worship – Praise and Worship Team awakens the Holy Spirit prior to the morning worship service while the full complement of the Mass Choir uplifts Gods people throughout the remaining worship service.
Accompany the Pastor and congregation in the fellowship experience with other churches (Church Anniversaries, Pastor Anniversaries, Ministry Celebrations and Banquets).
Support of Other Ministries – Collaboration with ministries within Mt. Carmel as well as external Community entities.
Outreach – provide encouragement through song at Prisons, Nursing Homes, and Family Shelters.
Annual Spring Concert – a joyful time when the choir uplifts praise and worship unto the Lord. We sing, we dance, and we give God the Glory.
Dates To Know:
Weekly Rehearsal – Every week on Thursday at 7pm. This is a time to share in reflection, meditation, and humility unto God for his Kingdom
Anniversary – Our Annual Choir Day is held on the second Sunday in November. We celebrate and glorify the Lord in song. It is a day we extend invitations to other churches to fellowship and delight in the Lord through music.
