Meet Rev. Dr. Zoleka Adams

Rev. Dr. Zoleka Adams is the Assistant Pastor of the Mount Carmel Baptist Church where she has been serving for the past 25 years.  In addition to creatively carrying forth the vision of her Pastor, Rev. Dr. Anthony Lowe, she is responsible for the leadership development and effective functioning of the ministries of the church. She is the Spiritual Leader of the Sisters With a Vision Women’s Ministry - a dynamic ministry of empowerment, and healing for women.   

Dr. Adams holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Hunter College and is a licensed Gestalt Psychotherapist.  She is a board member of the Gestalt Center for Psychotherapy and Training w She earned a Master’s Degree in Divinity from New York Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry Degree from Drew University specializing in congregational Growth and Development specializing in Servant Leadership.

Dr. Adams has had a long history of public service.  Dr. Adams retired as Vice President of Behavioral Health for Palladia, Inc, a nonprofit social service agency   She provides professional, Executive and spiritual coaching for those seeking to realize their vision and has a roster of clients locally and nationally.   She is also the founder of Made Whole Ministries, a healing and training resource for spiritually minded people designed to speak to the brokenness within us.  Made Whole has recently completed a training package and workbook on Servant Leadership for local churches and organizations.

Dr. Adams has been published four times in Essence Magazine on The Black Superwoman, a two-part series on Love as an Addiction and The Art of Forgiveness. She also co-authored an article for the National Association of Social Workers Journal on Social Work and Womanist Practice.  

Rev. Dr.  Adams is a mother and a grandmother of two, who next to Jesus, are the joys of her life.
