The Prayer Ministry

Mission Statement:

The Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Prayer Ministry is an extended praying arm of the church community. The prayer ministry offers service, through prayer, with and for God’s people.

What We Do:

  • Prayer: Upon request, we pray with individuals and the community about their concerns. We support other ministries with church events through prayer. For example, prayer breakfasts and health fairs.

  • Prayer Shout-outs: Our prayer shout-outs are telephone conference prayer sessions conducted each month at 8PM and 9PM and last for approximately 30 minutes. We welcome everyone to join us for the opportunity to pray in community about our concerns.

  • Shut-in Service: Each year the prayer ministry hosts an all night prayer service where we gather in community through prayer, spoken word, songs, praise and fellowship. Services are conducted for the youth and adults.

  • Prayerspace: Prayerspace is our inspirational social network. It is a place where individuals can be encouraged through the ministry of prayer; combined with God’s infinite love. We have sermons, gospel music and videos, blogs and a calendar. To join Prayerspace, please see any member of the Prayer ministry.

  • Meetings: Our meetings are conducted as needed for the ministry. We generally conduct these meetings through conference call technology.
