The Youth Mass Choir

 

Scripture One:  

O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.  Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.   Psalm 95: 1 – 2


Scripture Two:  

Sing to the Lord, all the earth! Sing of His glorious name! Tell the world how wonderful He is.    Psalm 66: 1 – 2

Mission Statement:

We are the youth component of the Music Ministry, dedicated to and responsible for supporting the spirit of worship by singing the Songs of Zion while welcoming the youth of the fellowship; youth between the ages of 3 and 21.  We strive for excellence, exploring diverse musical genres while celebrating God’s gift of music.

Sister Kelley Richards, Sister Denie Williams, Sister Yvonne Williams and Deacon Lorna Wyatt

What We Do:

  • With joy and excitement we sing and proclaim Christ’s Love.

  • We minister on the 2nd and 4th Sundays, preparing the hearts and minds of the congregation to receive God’s Word.

  • We accompany our ministerial body when we fellowship with other churches.

  • We minister through contemporary songs as well as gospel rap and choral hymns.

 

Dates To Know:

  • We are faithfully committed to and rehearse every 2nd and 4th Saturday, beginning at 12:00 PM.

  • The Youth Choir Anniversary takes place every 4th Sunday in June, where we celebrate our love for Jesus and our Church.
